VaLO – wireless control of lighting gives you more options to operate your luminaires. You can control your LED lighting either with wall-mounted, wireless buttons or with your Android/iOS device such as a tablet or phone. You can control the lighting in your entire home wirelessly if you want, but you can also control individual luminaires.

VaLO wireless lighting control also works particularly well where traditional wired pre-wired wall outlets are not sufficient, or are poorly positioned in relation to the location of the LED lights. With VaLO control, you can turn on, turn off and dim the LED lights continuously. VaLO can also be used to control luminaires with colour temperature or colour control (CCT and RGB), with dedicated buttons and receivers, which you can find on our product page.

Example installation of wireless control

For example, if you wanted to wirelessly control the LED strips in your kitchen, so that the top strip and the bottom strip light up at different times, your set could be like this (e.g. a 2.5m wide kitchen):
14,4W Glowing led strip, 5m roll (cut to 2,5m above the cabinet and 2,5m below the cabinet)
90W 24V transformer, non dimmable
VaLO series 2-part button, one button to control the dimming of the upper side and one button to control the dimming of the lower side of the strip
two receivers (12V-36V), one for each of the two push-buttons, so that they can be lit at different times
So you need two receivers to light the top and bottom LED strips at different times. In this option the installation goes like this: the transformer is connected to the mains (230V) with a plug, from the transformer the power is branched to receivers A and B. From receiver A the wires go to LED strip X and from receiver B the wires go to LED strip Y. Once the connection is made, pair buttons 1 and 2 of the switch with receivers A and B. For example button 1 with A and button 2 with B, so that button 1 controls tape X and button 2 controls tape Y.

12V-36V receivers for wireless control

Wireless 12V-36V receivers are mostly used to dim the light strip from one side, i.e. the adjustment is done between the transformer and the LED strip, in the receiver block mounted on it. In this case, the transformer itself does not need to be dimmable. There are two different types of receivers; an 8A model for dimming only and a 4x5A model for dimming and colour control. In addition to the receiver, either a button or a WiFi RF converter (Android/iOS control) is purchased to control the lights.

230V wireless control receivers

Wireless 230V receivers(150W and 400W) are most often used to dim spot, panel and ceiling luminaires with TRIAC transformers. The adjustment takes place between the transformer and the mains power, in a receiver block mounted on the transformer. In addition to the receiver, either a button or a WiFi RF converter (Android/iOS control) is purchased to control the lights.

Buttons for wireless control

Three different buttons for wireless control of lighting; a one-piece button, a two-piece button or a rotary button to change the colour of the strip in addition to dimming (note: the colour feature must be present on the strip, e.g. WRGB or CCT strips).

Wifi RF converter

With the WiFi RF converter you can control receivers on your Android/iOS devices with a downloadable app on your phone/tablet. The WiFi RF converter has a range of 30m, but for stone houses we recommend one converter per floor, as the signal will not pass through thick concrete etc. through structures.
