Add value to your home lighting with our range of high quality, colour temperature adjustable LED luminaires. For consumers and professionals who value the quality of light and for whom light is an important part of their work, colour temperature control opens up new possibilities. Colour temperature adjustable, or Kelvin adjustable, luminaires include CCT spots, CCT panels, and CCT LED strip. CCT products feature infinitely variable colour temperature (kelvin) control, from warm white “morning-evening glow” through neutral white light to cool white “daylight”.

Temperature adjustable lighting, Kelvin, affects mood and alertness

Variations in the hue of white light affect the body’s circadian rhythms in nature, and by adjusting the colour temperature and brightness of the LED, it is possible to influence alertness. In addition to colour temperature, the quality of light, measured by the colour rendering index, also affects comfort. On a clear day, the Kelvin reading of light outside is well over 10 000 Kelvin, although the daylight standard is 6 500 Kelvin. The amount of light in Finland, even on a cloudy day, is many times greater than that from lamps, or “artificial light”, so lighting always comes second to being outdoors in terms of the refreshing effect of light. However, the qualities of natural light can be emulated with colour-temperature controlled LED luminaires, and many people like this possibility.

Lighting affects the experience of colour – support your interior design by exploiting the colour temperature of light

The choice of colour (in Kelvin) of Led light is usually made between a warm light of around 3000K and a neutral light of around 4000K. Some rooms also use daylight, i.e. colour temperatures of around 5 000-6 500 K. The purpose of the room and the colours of the interior will influence which colour shade is best. Warm-toned decorative elements and furniture are best in warm-toned light, while cool tones and graphic shapes are best in more neutral/cooler light. The living room is a space where the choice of colour temperature is often debated: a living room at 3000K or 4000K is a debate we have also had with clients on many occasions. With temperature-controlled LED luminaires, choosing the right shade is not a problem – you always get the right shade. The colour rendering index, CRI, is the single factor that determines the quality of LedStore’s lights. In good quality, high CRI lighting, all colours look as they should, and the light does not refract, for example. greenish or wears a greyish veil. A high colour rendering index is appreciated by people who work with colour, aesthetics and skin tones. In addition, consumers who value good colour rendition in their homes, such as in their dressing rooms, bathrooms, kitchens and work areas, are also buying good colour rendition.

We always measure and report the Colour Rendering Index (CRI) of our products, which is measured on the basis of a wide range of 15 reference values (Ra), rather than the average of the general 8 reference values. On the other hand, the brand name of the luminaire reads CCT when it is colour temperature controlled. With colour temperature adjustable LED luminaires with high colour rendering, you can create the perfect interior with light. We have written about the colour rendering index on our blog, for example in the article What is the difference between CRI and Ra?

Many features of the colour temperature controlled led spot (CCT)

In CCT spots, the desired light colour temperature is selected from three options, 2900K-4000K-5300K, at the power supply switch. Once the shade of light is selected, the transformer is left in the mounting hole, so that in use the light can be dimmed to the selected shade. Spot also offers the option to buy it without the so-called. standard transformer, and replace it with a transformer for wireless control, for example. This change, together with a colour temperature controller and dimmer suitable for the transformer, allows the hue of the light to be adjusted continuously. Either a wired or wireless CCT controller can be used as a controller to select both the hue and brightness of the light.

Variable colour temperatures for LED strip lights (Kelvin control)

Led strip is a versatile choice for colour temperature controlled lighting. The same LED strip can produce both warm and cool white and everything in between, infinitely variable. Our Led strips also have an option that offers not only colour temperature control but also all RGB colours. Check out the CCT tape product category.
