With the dark season still to come, it’s a good time to take a look at your own yard and observe the areas that are still in the dark. When the installation season starts again, it’s time for the yard to be electrified and the luminaires can be put in place.

Pay attention to the safety of access routes

A well-designed yard also includes well-designed lighting. Pay particular attention to the passageways and corridors. Courtyard walkways should be illuminated with luminaires so that the light beam is directed towards the walkway. In addition, the height of the luminaire should be such that it does not fall just below a small cenosis in winter, or that it is easy to create snow around it. Led is very resistant to cold, so lighting your yard with LEDs is a good solution. Pillar lights provide elegant lighting when placed at even distances along walkways.

Wall lighting with ready-made luminaires or according to your own dimensions

In a courtyard with different levels, a wall is also a good lighting feature. The wall is most often lit with a downward light to avoid glare in the courtyard when viewed from different levels. Dimensionally speaking, wall lighting made of aluminium profiles is not too expensive when choosing a low-power LED strip, e.g. 7.2 W/m, and a profile that reflects light well. The low-power and energy-efficient LED strip does not need a large transformer, which also results in savings. Recessed lighting serves well for yard lighting, with the advantage that the wiring runs safely inside the wall and individual lamps do not interfere with yard work and snowmaking. The wall luminaire can also be chosen from the grey 3W In-wall out 2, which is perfect for concrete walls and masonry. The transformer is built into the In-wall out luminaire.

Bringing out the details in your garden with lighting

Lighting is a great way to highlight the beautiful details of your garden. There is a wide range of options for illuminating private areas in the garden, such as the 7W SPIKE ground-mounted, or the larger 9x1W recessed ground-mounted with a stylish metal frame. The ground-mounted luminaire can be moved if necessary as the planting grows. This should be taken into account during the installation phase when pulling the cable and leave the cable at the root of the luminaire, as far as the installation site safely allows.

The Spike 7W ground-mounted luminaire can be installed anywhere where the recess depth is at least 20 cm.

Elegant illumination of the terrace from the surface

In the dark, lower power lighting also provides a pleasant atmosphere and highlights the structures, giving a sense of space. A terrace or patio can be lined with 3W patio spotlights that illuminate the surface of the terrace, with glare-free light coming through openings in the spotlight cover in either one, two or four directions. For example, courtyard wall displays can be highlighted with 1W spots in the wet room, where you can also choose from three different light patterns. In addition, depending on your needs, you can also choose a light colour between neutral 4000K and warm 3000K. The 1W IP67 spotlight kits are also suitable for other damp areas and saunas.

The different shapes and surfaces of the courtyard are accentuated with different types of embedded spots.
