Yard lighting does not play a major role during the summer, but it is a good time to carry out lighting renovations as part of a yard refurbishment. Fixed, all-year-round luminaires should be installed when other earthmoving and landscaping work is being carried out.
The wall bordering the site is an excellent lighting feature
LED lighting installed in the boundary wall of the property and made to measure is a good solution for yard lighting. For the wall luminaires, LedStore’s recessed wall profile and LED strip light, which illuminates the profile from top to bottom and curves beautifully from the surface of the aluminium profile, have been chosen. A wall-mounted light stays well within your property and does not disturb others.
The LED strip has an input power of 7.2 W/m, so the wall unit consumes very little electricity. The total power is only 36 watts when 14 36 cm luminaires are installed, i.e. only 2.5 W per luminaire. The in-wall courtyard lighting in the picture needs only one power supply for the light output end, like this 60W IP67 power supply from Mean Well.

Fixed luminaires, for example on a concrete slab or terrace edge, should be chosen to illuminate pathways through the garden. For example, the direction of lighting can be omnidirectional, unidirectional, bidirectional or semi-circular.

The square Cubic pillar makes for a sleek and stylish roadway lighting solution. The light points open slightly downwards, so the luminaire does not glare easily. The 5x1W light points are fixed to the luminaire body.
The Funk Pillar, part of the popular FUNK range, provides beautiful three-way and indirect lighting thanks to a 10W LED at the top. The luminaire is sculptural in form and shape.
