Led strip lighting is selected according to the lighting needs and the application. LedStore’s own-brand LED strips offer enough choice and possibilities to meet both small and large lighting needs in both dry and wet environments. All our LED strips are available in both 3000K and 4000K light colour temperatures. The range also includes CCT LED strips with colour temperature control and RGB+W LED strips with colour control. We are constantly renewing our range and maintaining the quality of our tapes. You will also find very flat LED strips with more than 600 LEDs per metre, we call these strips SOLO strips. As an example, the link shows a high quality 14.4 W/m SOLO.

Each roll contains 5 metres of LED ribbon, except for our top quality SUPREME ribbon, which has 3 metres of ribbon. We sell LED strips in whole rolls, cut to the required length or rolled to a longer length at a price per metre.

Applications for LED strip lighting include.

  • countertop lighting in a utility room, hobby room or office,
  • indirect light from a ceiling or wall,
  • mood lighting in the kitchen plinths,
  • staircase and handrail lighting, or
  • outdoors e.g. lighting a staircase or eaves of a house.

When choosing an LED strip light, you should consider the following:

  • the appropriate strip power (W/m),
  • a sufficiently high IP rating,
  • whether the shade is adjustable (Kelvin), whether the strip also has colour options (RGB)
  • light quality, such as lumen/watt ratio and colour rendering index
  • choosing the right transformer and dimmer; and
  • a suitable aluminium profile.

Our high quality LED circuits save you money on your electricity bill and produce high quality, high colour rendering index (CRI) light. The power consumption is determined by the power input and the operating intensity, so the consumption also varies depending on how bright the tape is kept. Led strip is much more energy efficient than incandescent and halogen lamps!

Get just the right amount of power from the 7,2W/m LED strip light for low-lighting applications

If you need to illuminate outdoor or indoor areas such as railings, stairs, plinths or the underside of decks, then the Helmeile 7,2 W/m led strip (12V or 24V) is the right choice. The luminous intensity of the luminaire is 500 lumens per metre. Can be cut and soldered every 5 cm. The 7.2W/m LED strip is available in light colour temperatures of 3 000 K warm white and 4 000 K neutral white. The Helmeile 7,2W/m 24V LED strip is dust and moisture protected to IP65, making it suitable for both dry and humid environments. The tape itself is coated with a non-yellowing transparent, thin silicone surface. After cutting, the ends of the tape must be protected again, e.g. with silicone if the tape is exposed to dust and moisture. Remember also the aluminium profile.

HELMEILE 7,2W/m, like all our other 12 and 24V LED strips, is suitable for solar energy systems or other 12V or 24V systems, or with a transformer for connection to 230V mains power. There are 120 LED circuits per metre, so the LED strip will only show a slight pinpointing when mounted on our lowest 7mm high profile, when viewed directly from the front. The light quality of this strip is excellent, with a colour rendering index, CRI, of 97. The tape can be dimmed wired and wirelessly.

Helmeile 14,4W/m led strip for versatile general lighting

Choose the Helmeile 14,4 W/m 24V LED strip if you need more light. Used in a wide range of different areas of the home, both dry and damp, where general lighting is required. This strip is well suited for both indirect lighting and task lighting. The luminous intensity of the luminaire is 1 000 lumens per metre. The luminaire is available in different models for damp and dry areas, which should be taken into account when ordering the product. The light colour can be either 3000 K or 4000 K, with 4000 K being more popular for working areas, while 3000 K is most often chosen for bedrooms and lounges.

The Helmeile 14.4W/m LED strip has 120 LED circuits per metre, and the strip has a noticeable spottiness of light when viewed from the front, so we recommend it for indirect lighting or to be mounted on a white surface profile to smooth out the spottiness. When mounted on the surface, the point spacing is smoothed out in the large 44mm flush profile. This is noticeable as a reflection in the worktop if the illuminated worktop is glossy and the profile is particularly shallow. The tape is available in both 12V and 24V. The higher voltage, 24V, strip light allows longer continuous LED strip installations to be made when the power supply is only at one end of the strip.

Colour temperature control and 14,4W/m colour-changing LED strips: mood and chameleon

The Ambient LED strip (24V) is worth looking at if you need to change the colour of the white light according to the situation or even the time of day. The atmosphere of the LED strip LED light is adjustable from a very warm, yellowish light of 2 500 K to a cold bluish white light of 6 500 K. In the Led strip, colour selection and dimming is done by either a wired or wireless switch which can be a wall controller or a hand-held remote control. To control the colour temperature of the light, in addition to the ribbon, you will also need a dimmer/controller such as the VaLO RF series or VaLO Zigbee series for wireless control or 12-24V CCT for wired wall control. The power class of the transformer is selected based on the total consumption of the LED strip and the desired control mode. The colour temperature adjustable ribbon is also available in 7.2 W/m and a special high efficiency of 22 W/m.

For effect lighting, we recommend the LedStore Kameleontti RGB led strip (24V), where the light colour can be truly adjusted in shades of blue, green, red and white (4000 K) using a remote control and a control unit, is strictly speaking an RGBW strip, as it also produces white light. RGB (rgb + 4000 K) led strip is popular in hobby rooms, cinema rooms, children’s rooms and spas. The Kameleontti rgb led strip is dimmable and waterproof to IP65. In addition to wireless controls, 12-24V wired wall button controls are also available.

Choose LED Tape Flat 17W/m for more demanding lighting applications

The flat 17W/m led strip (24V) is suitable for demanding applications where you want a monochromatic light.

You can choose between 3000 K, 3500 K or 4000 K, with 3500 K being the most popular at the moment. The 4 000 Kelvin LED strip is often purchased for lighting work areas and bathrooms, for example, as it provides a bright and clean light that is similar to daylight, but does not glare. This high performance ribbon in our range also gets hottest and clearly benefits from being combined with a profile that has more aluminium to cool the ribbon, such as our 45° profile. Good cooling clearly increases the life of the tape.

Applications include high ceilings and areas where the light points of the LED strip are visible or reflected, e.g. from a stainless steel worktop. The strip provides uniform illumination because it has 240 LED circuits per metre. The LED dots are not distracting when the LED strip is viewed directly from below. In terms of luminous intensity, the LED strip produces 1 200 lumens per metre. The tape is available in models for damp (IP65) and dry (IP21) environments, which is something to consider when ordering.

Colour temperature controlled LED strip lights are also a popular and efficient lighting solution. Our most efficient CCT strip is Tunnelma 22 W/m. All LED strips with colour temperature control can be found in the LedStore online store.

Choose led strip light Supreme 13,6W/m for public areas

Led strip Supreme 13,6W/m is our brightest led strip with 1600 lm/m. With a power consumption of only 13.6 W/m, it is suitable for spaces where lights are on for long periods at a time. Choose SUPREME LED strip for applications where the best possible light quality is required, as SUPREME LED strip has a colour rendering index CRI of 98. Technically, the LED strip has evolved from a special base structure with an anti-cracking copper insulation. Despite the additional insulation, we still recommend installing the strip on the aluminium profile to improve thermal conductivity.

SUPREME is available in two shades of white light, 3000K and 4000K. The tape is dust and moisture protected to IP class 65. The reel contains three metres of LED strip and has DC quick connectors at both ends. The Led strip can be cut and soldered at 4.16 cm intervals. Moisture protection of the cut head must be restored, e.g. a drop of silicone if the LED strip is installed in damp areas without a moisture-proof LED profile.

The SUPREME tape has a 7-year guarantee. We require installation on an aluminium profile. Tape can also be purchased by the metre in quantities larger or smaller than 3 metres. DC connectors are soldered to the ends of the ribbon strips, if necessary, in our LedShop.

Led strip lights dimming in a variety of ways, including smart control

All our LED strips are dimmable, but the way dimming is implemented depends on the transformer and the controls used. The popular LED dimming is achieved by using a TRIAC transformer dimmed by conventional wall-wired dimmers. When choosing a led strip transformer, always check compatibility first, as the oldest models may not work properly with LedStore strips. We have had good experiences with the Schneider Exxact series.

If the LED strip is to be placed at a contact distance, the preferred solution is to choose a contact dimmer to be mounted on the LED profile, under the diffuser cover. In this case, the LED rail is a complete unit and no other switches are needed.

A popular solution for LED strips is wireless dimming, where dimming takes place at the receiver, between the transformer and the LED strip, which means that the transformer does not need to be dimmable. This is called secondary dimming. With wireless dimming, you can adjust the tape to be dimmer than other models, even dim enough to appear to be turned off. Wireless dimming is an excellent solution for applications where there was previously a switchable luminaire but no wall switch. Examples include kitchens where the lighting has been provided by a fluorescent tube with an on-off switch on the side, and the luminaire has only received continuous electricity.

In many new sites, wireless controls are implemented, for example to simplify electrical wiring. Smart lighting for tape tone control and RGBW tapes makes sense, as there is no need for wires to the switch at all. You can check out our smart control products in the Zigbee wireless category of our online shop. All our LED strips can be controlled by an intelligent controller.

It is also possible to choose transformers suitable for DALI or a transformer suitable for 1-10V dimming.

We are happy to help you with all your LED dimming needs.
